Valeo & LIDEO unite to train experts for the future of automotive tech
Valeo, a leader in mobility technologies, has entered a strategic partnership with LIDEO, a network of independent automotive experts in France. Together, they are launching a training initiative through the Valeo Tech Academy aimed at preparing LIDEO’s 140-member network to handle tomorrow’s automotive challenges.
The partnership centers on fast-rising technologies like electric and hybrid vehicles and ADAS (driver assistance systems). LIDEO technicians will receive hands-on training to better diagnose faults, understand smart sensors, and work with cutting-edge vehicle electrification and digital systems. Initial sessions attended in Amiens, Nantes, Nancy, and Paris saw high satisfaction rates (90%), and more workshops are already planned in cities like Toulon and Salon-de-Provence.
Valeo says this move is meant to bridge the gap between high-tech innovations and frontline repair or service work. By building deeper technical expertise among independent experts, both organizations hope to support a smoother transition for the automotive sector as vehicles become more complex and technology-heavy.
