Ottawa Infotainment and VicOne team up to boost vehicle cybersecurity
Press Release, 20 October 2025
Software-defined vehicle specialist Ottawa Infotainment, Inc. and automotive cybersecurity firm VicOne Inc. have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at reinforcing the security backbone of modern connected vehicles. The agreement, unveiled at the North American Intelligent Cockpit & Smart Driving Summit 2025, brings together Ottawa Infotainment’s expertise in digital cockpit and vehicle-experience platforms with VicOne’s advanced threat-intelligence and security-operations solutions.
Under the partnership, Ottawa Infotainment will integrate VicOne’s cybersecurity stack into its flagship DragonFire OS and related hardware platforms, offering vehicle manufacturers a unified architecture that blends rich in-cockpit experiences with hardened protection against cyber threats. VicOne, known for tools such as its xAurient, xNexus and xCarbon modules, brings a layered defence strategy, covering everything from intrusion detection to vulnerability management and regulatory compliance. Together the companies aim to give automakers—particularly those moving toward software-defined vehicles—a streamlined path to deploy secure, future-proof cockpit and infotainment systems. According to Ottawa Infotainment, the collaboration aligns with strong demand for ready-to-integrate platforms that enable both immersive driver experiences and robust cybersecurity assurance.
The alliance highlights the growing imperative within the mobility sector for cybersecurity to be built in from day one, rather than bolted on as an afterthought. By combining Ottawa Infotainment’s display, domain-controller and software-stack capabilities with VicOne’s security-centric engineering, the pair hope to help OEMs reduce development risk, meet evolving regulatory standards and accelerate the safe deployment of next-generation vehicles.
