AB Dynamics, a leader in automotive testing solutions, has launched the GST™ 120 Plus, the first and only ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) target platform capable of reaching 130 km/h, meeting the higher test speeds required by Euro NCAP’s 2026 safety protocols. This milestone marks a major leap in vehicle safety testing, enabling manufacturers to evaluate rear-collision avoidance systems under new high-speed conditions.


The GST 120 Plus retains the familiar chassis and dimensions of the existing Euro NCAP-approved GST 120 platform but features key performance upgrades. These include a 13% larger battery capacity to support energy-intensive high-speed runs and a next-generation brushless motor drivetrain for smoother, more powerful performance. The platform’s ABS braking system enhances stability and significantly reduces stopping distances, allowing it to achieve standard 80 km/h tests within just 130 metres of track.

Designed for precise and repeatable ADAS testing, the GST 120 Plus carries AB Dynamics’ Soft Car 360® target a foam-structured vehicle replica that mimics radar, lidar, and visual signatures of real cars while being safe for collision testing. Both the platform and target have been upgraded for durability and stability at elevated speeds. The system’s GPS-corrected inertial navigation and millisecond-level synchronisation ensure ultra-accurate test execution, simulating real-world crash and avoidance scenarios.
The 2026 Euro NCAP update will expand testing to over 1,200 scenarios, including extended high-speed motorway collision simulations. To help automakers manage this complexity, AB Dynamics offers a ready-to-use library of pre-configured test sequences and an optional Euro NCAP 2026 “special group” pre-installed on the GST 120 Plus.
