Infineon Technologies has announced a strategic partnership with Zenergize to accelerate India’s transition toward clean energy and advanced electric mobility solutions. The collaboration, unveiled at the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 in New Delhi, focuses on integrating Infineon’s advanced semiconductor technologies into Zenergize’s locally designed power-electronics systems. These solutions will target key sectors such as solar energy, electric vehicle (EV) charging, and energy storage areas that are witnessing rapid growth across India.
Under the agreement, Infineon will supply its next-generation wide-bandgap semiconductors, including silicon carbide (SiC) technology, along with engineering support for system integration. This technology is known for delivering higher energy efficiency, reduced power losses, and improved power density compared to conventional silicon-based components. As a result, Zenergize will be able to develop more efficient solar inverters, faster and more reliable EV chargers, and robust energy-storage systems designed specifically for India’s challenging operating conditions, such as high temperatures and voltage fluctuations.
Beyond technology integration, the partnership also aligns with India’s broader goal of strengthening domestic manufacturing and reducing dependence on imported technologies. By combining global semiconductor expertise with local design and production capabilities, the collaboration aims to build high-performance power-electronics products that are “designed in India for India,” with the potential to scale globally in the future.
The move comes at a time when India is rapidly expanding its renewable energy capacity and EV ecosystem through initiatives like solar rooftop schemes and growing charging infrastructure. As demand for efficient and reliable power systems rises, partnerships like this are expected to play a crucial role in shaping a more sustainable and self-reliant energy landscape.
