SAESOL Tech & UNEX team up to boost V2X security interoperability

Press Release, 29 January 2026

SAESOL Tech Inc. and UNEX Technology Corp. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to work closely on improving security and interoperability between connected vehicle systems a key step toward safer, standardized Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications worldwide. The collaboration focuses on validating how SAESOL’s Security Credential Management System (SCMS) works seamlessly with UNEX’s V2X devices, such as roadside and onboard units that comply with IEEE 1609.2 security standards. This effort aims to strengthen trust in critical vehicle data exchange from enrollment and certificate issuance to message signing and verification helping pave the way for dependable and secure connected mobility.

Under the agreement, both companies will share test data, logs and technical insights to tackle interoperability challenges and refine secure communication workflows. Using SAESOL’s S2X® Tester an IEEE 1609.2.1-based test platform and mapping test cases to OmniAir Consortium standards, the teams plan to execute comprehensive validation scenarios that mirror real-world deployment conditions. These include functions like certificate lifecycle management, revocation list distribution and advanced control interface testing.

Beyond testing, SAESOL and UNEX intend to co-host demonstrations, proof-of-concept showcases and industry outreach to share validated outcomes with global partners, systems integrators and customers. This combined push will highlight how SCMS and V2X technologies can work together to secure vehicle communications an essential requirement as connected and autonomous mobility grows globally. Both companies believe this cooperation will help accelerate adoption of secure, standards-aligned V2X deployments by making it easier for OEMs, infrastructure providers and technology partners to ensure interoperability in diverse markets.

The collaboration comes as SAESOL Tech expands its global presence following a $7.1M Series B funding round, reinforcing its commitment to providing robust cybersecurity solutions for next-generation mobility environments.
