Hyundai Mobis and Qualcomm team up to advance next-gen vehicle tech
Press Release, 8 January 2026
At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Hyundai Mobis and Qualcomm Technologies announced a major collaboration to co-develop cutting-edge solutions for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), marking a significant step forward in automotive electronics innovation. The memorandum of understanding (MOU), signed during the annual tech show, brings together Hyundai Mobis’s deep system integration, sensor fusion and perception expertise with Qualcomm’s leadership in automotive-grade system-on-chip (SoC) technologies to create integrated solutions suited to the evolving demands of global and emerging markets.
Under the agreement, the partners will initially focus on developing advanced driving and parking technologies built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Ride Flex SoC platform, aiming to improve the performance, efficiency and stability of ADAS and lay the groundwork for broader SDV architectures. These innovations are expected to play a key role in fast-growing regions where ADAS adoption is accelerating, such as India, by providing adaptable and efficient systems that can support both current and future vehicle platforms.
Beyond the technical collaboration, Hyundai Mobis emphasized its broader strategic intent at CES 2026 by hosting a private exhibition for key global clients that drew more than 200 representatives from North America and Europe, highlighting ambitions to expand its business portfolio in areas such as robotics, semiconductors, and SDV solutions. By aligning its standardized software platform with Qualcomm’s automotive technologies, the company aims to deliver scalable, high-performance systems that can meet the diverse needs of global automakers and enhance the competitive edge of future vehicles.
This collaboration signals how automotive suppliers and semiconductor innovators are working together to accelerate the shift toward more intelligent, connected and software-centric vehicles a trend that increasingly defines the future of mobility.
