Zeekr & Intellias showcase AI-powered visual testing for EV infotainment at CES 2026
Press Release, 7 January 2026
At CES 2026, Zeekr Technology Europe and global AI engineering partner Intellias unveiled a cutting-edge solution for automating visual testing of in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems, combining vision-language models (VLMs) and computer vision to transform quality assurance in electric vehicles. The platform creates test cases directly from UX design guidelines and written requirements, then autonomously validates screens, navigation, media, comfort, and connectivity features — performing checks as a human would, without manual scripting.
By simulating human perception, the AI-driven system ensures faster, more reliable, and flexible testing:
- Speed: Up to 4x faster than manual testing, enabling early feedback and accelerated feature rollouts.
- Precision: Maintains 95%+ accuracy across thousands of test cases, eliminating human error.
- Autonomy: Adapts to environment changes and minor UI variations without requiring script updates.
- Versatility: Handles complex scenarios — such as dynamic navigation routes, charging station validation, and media flows — seamlessly.
“This innovation redefines EV software testing,” said Christian Hering, Head of Intelligent Software at Zeekr Technology Europe. “Hundreds of hours of manual effort are now automated with greater accuracy, helping us deliver a premium, reliable digital cockpit experience faster than ever.”
Intellias Senior VP Juergen Friese added, “Our AI-powered quality assurance solution enables Zeekr to accelerate development and strengthen product quality. Showcasing it at CES 2026 is a milestone for shaping the future of mobility.”
A live demo is available at Intellias Meeting Space #3377, LVCC West Hall, featuring direct screen capture and camera-based recognition to show how AI analyzes and validates IVI performance in real time. This collaboration highlights how AI is driving next-generation EV innovation, improving product quality, user experience, and speed-to-market for premium electric vehicles.
