Bijliride expands two-wheeler EV rentals to Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi NCR
Press Release, 9 December 2025
India’s fast-growing electric two-wheeler rental platform Bijliride has announced a major expansion into Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR, marking a key milestone in its nationwide growth strategy for FY 2025–26. Building on a strong foundation in Hyderabad, the company aims to make clean, affordable, and tech-driven mobility accessible across India’s busiest urban hubs.
In the first phase of expansion, Bijliride plans to deploy 2,500 vehicles in Bengaluru, 1,500 in Mumbai, and 2,500 in the Delhi NCR region, adding to its existing 3,500-strong fleet in Hyderabad. The company expects to further scale its fleet over the next six months based on utilization and local demand.
To enable this growth, Bijliride is bolstering its partnerships with OEMs such as BGauss and other EV manufacturers. Around 60–70% of the new fleet will be company-owned, while 30–40% will come via OEM collaborations. The new vehicles will feature upgraded battery systems, advanced telematics, and enhanced range, designed to deliver smoother, more efficient rides for users.
“Our mission is simple — to make sustainable mobility accessible, reliable, and rewarding for everyone,” said Vishal Vikram, Co-founder & CMO, Bijliride. “With this expansion, we’re not just entering new markets — we’re building the foundation for a smarter, cleaner urban commute ecosystem.”
Bijliride’s app-based platform allows users to book EVs for daily, weekly, or monthly rentals, offering flexibility for students, professionals, and gig workers alike. Vehicles will be available across pickup and drop points near metro stations, IT corridors, and commercial hubs, ensuring convenience and accessibility.
With this expansion, Bijliride is on track to achieve its goal of 10,000 active EVs by FY26, contributing to India’s push toward low-emission urban mobility. The company continues to focus on tech-enabled operations, 24/7 service reliability, and sustainability, solidifying its position as a category leader in India’s evolving electric mobility landscape.
