ZF India secures big ADAS-deal
Press Release, 5 December 2025
ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Limited (ZF CVCS India) — part of global supplier ZF Group has been awarded a major business nomination by a leading Indian e-mobility commercial-vehicle OEM. The order covers the development and calibration of an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) suite tailored to match India’s upcoming regulatory mandate under GSR 184e.
The ADAS suite — built on ZF’s established OnGuardMAX platform and short-range radar tech — will be deployed across a variety of heavy-duty electric commercial vehicles. This includes 55-ton trucks, tractor-trailers, 13.5-meter coaches, and buses of sizes ranging up to 12 m.
The system is expected to offer a full spread of 16 advanced safety features, including Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Blind Spot Information System (BSIS), Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning System (DDAWS), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), and Moving Off Information System (MOIS), among others.
According to ZF, these systems have already been tested under real-world Indian road conditions for over 300,000 km — underscoring confidence in the solution’s robustness and readiness for local deployment.
With this move, ZF is positioning itself at the forefront of India’s shift to safer, smarter electrified commercial vehicles — combining global ADAS maturity with local road-scene credentials.
