Swayamgati Cargo- India’s autonomous electric cargo 3-wheeler unveiled
News, 2 December 2025
Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has unveiled the Swayamgati Cargo billed as India’s first production-ready autonomous electric cargo three-wheeler setting the stage for a new era in smart logistics and industrial mobility. Priced at ₹4.15 lakh (ex-showroom), the Swayamgati Cargo is now open for bookings, with deliveries slated to begin this quarter.
This compact EV combines OSM’s proven electric powertrain with a full autonomy suite, including LiDAR, GPS, multi-sensor navigation, AI-powered obstacle detection (up to 6 metres), geofenced route mapping, and remote fleet controls. Designed to run on pre-mapped routes within controlled environments like industrial parks, warehouses, e-commerce fulfilment hubs, airports, smart campuses, and gated communities it delivers a clean, cost-effective alternative to traditional goods movement systems.
With a range of up to 120 km per charge and optimized for repetitive cargo tasks, the Swayamgati Cargo is pitched as a scalable solution for structured logistics. OSM plans to roll out as many as 1,500 autonomous cargo and passenger units over the next 24 months, underlining its ambitions to lead India’s autonomous EV transition.
In a market where driver shortages, rising labour costs, and growing demand for efficient last-mile delivery are rapidly converging, Swayamgati Cargo could emerge as a cost-saving game-changer. If all goes to plan, this could be India’s moment to leapfrog into the future of clean, intelligent logistics — one wheel at a time.
