Taiwan’s AUO launches mobility arm AMSC
Press Release, 19 November 2025
Taipei-based display specialist AUO Corporation is turning heads with the establishment of its new mobility-focused subsidiary, AUO Mobility Solutions Corporation (AMSC), ahead of its debut at CES 2026 in Las Vegas in January. The move brings together AUO’s deep display-technology expertise with the automotive-HMI (human-machine interface) know-how of Germany’s BHTC GmbH—which AUO acquired in 2024—to build a platform aimed at “immersive, intelligent and sustainable” in-vehicle experiences.
AMSC says its offerings will revolve around three core pillars: Visual (advanced displays and HMI integration); Computing (modular, scalable computing platforms for real-time sensing and interaction); and Connectivity (V2X, 5G and over-the-air updates, enabling the cockpit to act as a connected smart node). By presenting these at CES 2026, AUO seeks to signal its transition from a display manufacturer into a full vehicle-interior solutions provider—positioning itself amid the growing trend of software-defined vehicles and smarter cabin experiences. The company highlights its 20 + years of automotive-HMI lineage and promises flexible, end-to-end collaboration with OEMs from concept through mass production.
