ECARX to provide digital cockpit solutions for Volkswagen models across Latin America

Press Release, 14 November 2025

ECARX Holdings Inc. has secured a substantial new agreement with Volkswagen Group to deliver its full-stack digital cockpit solutions for several Volkswagen models across Latin America. The deal covers both the Antora® 1000 computing platform designed for vehicles equipped with Google Automotive Services (GAS) and the more cost-efficient Antora® 500 variant, tailored for offline configurations. On the software side, ECARX will bring its Cloudpeak® architecture into play, integrating Android Automotive OS, Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Play Store and other regional mobile ecosystems.

This marks the second award between ECARX and Volkswagen in 2025, building on a prior contract issued earlier this year. ECARX highlights that it has compressed the typical 12-18-month GAS certification timeline down to eight months—helping Volkswagen accelerate its rollout of “cars with Google built-in.” With its Antora platform based on a 7nm SE1000 system-on-chip and modular software stack, ECARX aims to offer automakers a streamlined, cost-efficient way to deliver premium digital experiences.

By combining online and offline cockpit options, the partnership gives Volkswagen flexibility across vehicle segments and regions, while enabling ECARX to extend its reach further into Latin America—a key growth market. As vehicles become more software and service-focused, such collaborations underscore how OEMs are leaning on technology providers to bring next-gen features to market faster.
