Nexteer expands Indian engineering hub

Press Release, 10 November 2025

Global motion-control specialist Nexteer Automotive has significantly upgraded its engineering footprint in India by expanding the existing India Technical Center (INTC) near Bengaluru with a new 1,900 m² facility dedicated to driveline physical validation. The new site, located about 20 km from the original centre, will allow Nexteer to perform production and design-stage testing of driveline systems locally, accelerating support for OEM customers in the region and enhancing the company’s global product-validation network.

Originally founded in 2018 as a software-and-simulation hub for advanced steering and driveline systems, the Indian centre is now evolving into a full-service validation environment. According to Nexteer CTO and Executive Board Director Robin Milavec, this investment marks a “major step forward” in the company’s strategy to marry digital engineering with physical testing, boosting quality, speed and local collaboration.

On the ground in India, India Managing Director Madhav Kulkarni said the expansion underscores Nexteer’s commitment to innovation, agility and stronger customer links worldwide.
With this move, Nexteer is cementing India’s role as a key node in its global mobility-technology operations, and is better positioned to serve the region’s growing demand for advanced driveline and steering systems amid the broader electrification and automated-driving wave.
