Putailai and OneD partner to accelerate silicon-graphite anode production for EV Batteries

Shanghai Putailai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Putailai) and OneD Battery Sciences have signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) to bring next-generation silicon-graphite anode materials into high-volume manufacturing for lithium-ion batteries. Under the agreement, Putailai will leverage its established manufacturing scale and graphite material expertise while OneD contributes its SINANODE® silicon-anode technology platform to deliver enhanced energy density at lower cost.

The collaboration is structured around parallel workstreams covering technology transfer, product optimization and commercialization. The objective is to develop cost-effective carbon-silicon anodes that meet the performance demands of battery cell makers across Asia, Europe and the US. With Putailai’s manufacturing capabilities and OneD’s patent-rich silicon innovation, the alliance aims to fast-track commercial adoption of advanced anode materials—supporting affordable, higher-range EVs and faster scale for the battery industry overall.
