SRM Tech earns TISAX AL3 label, elevating automotive cybersecurity credentials

Press Release, 5 November 2025

Indian automotive-tech specialist SRM Tech (based in Chennai) has achieved the prestigious TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) Assessment Level AL3 certification—a globally recognised benchmark for information security in the automotive sector. This milestone underscores the company’s commitment to protecting highly confidential automotive data and reflects its mature security infrastructure, coming on the back of its existing ISO 27001:2022 credentials.

The TISAX standard, developed by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and operated by the ENX Association, is widely used across global automotive supply chains to validate information-security practices. According to SRM Tech CEO Manivannan S, this achievement strengthens the firm’s ability to deliver trusted solutions as it expands its mobility offering worldwide. Senior VP & Head of Automotive Practice Sundar S added that the AL3 label positions SRM Tech as a reliable partner for automakers and suppliers navigating the software-defined, connected-vehicle era.

With vehicles increasingly reliant on embedded software, over-the-air updates and connected ecosystems, the demands on cybersecurity and data-protection frameworks are growing rapidly. The AL3 certification affirms SRM Tech’s ability to engage with highly sensitive projects—such as next-generation autonomous systems, proprietary vehicle architectures and critical supply-chain intelligence. This recognition not only boosts the company’s credibility, but also supports its ambition to serve global automakers and Tier-1 suppliers with end-to-end engineering, software and digital-mobility services.
