Mobileye and VVDN partner to localise next-gen ADAS technology in India

Press Release

Leader in advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) Mobileye has announced a strategic collaboration with Indian engineering and manufacturing-services company VVDN Technologies in a move aimed at localising next-generation ADAS technologies for the Indian market and beyond. Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Mobileye will leverage its global expertise in SoCs, sensors and software, while VVDN brings strong local engineering, testing and production capabilities — a combination designed to accelerate “Made-in-India” automotive safety solutions.

India’s automotive sector is undergoing a rapid transformation, driven by regulatory changes, growing consumer demand and the national push for self-reliance in manufacturing. Mobileye, which has shipped more than 200 million of its EyeQ™ chips globally, is now aiming to build a strong local ecosystem for ADAS in India. With this collaboration, key components of Mobileye’s ADAS stack — including advanced sensors and the EyeQ family of chips — will be localised through VVDN’s engineering and manufacturing setup in India.

According to Mobileye’s India Vice President, this partnership underscores India’s strategic importance, noting that the goal is not only to bring world-class safety and driving intelligence to Indian roads, but also to establish manufacturing capabilities that can support export-ready platforms. VVDN’s founder added that combining the firm’s local manufacturing and engineering strengths with Mobileye’s leadership in ADAS offers a “compelling proposition” for the future of India’s automotive industry.

In short: this partnership marks a significant step in embedding high-end ADAS innovation into India’s automotive supply chain — making advanced safety technologies more accessible for Indian OEMs, and positioning India as a hub for export-ready ADAS solutions.
