Mahindra Racing unveils M12Electro

Mahindra Racing has unveiled its new challenger for Season 12 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, the “M12Electro”. Designed and developed under the team’s GEN3 Evo package, this next-generation electric race car embodies the team’s ambition to push higher in the competitive all-electric racing arena. The car makes a bold visual statement, sporting a triple-tone livery of metallic red, gloss white and carbon black, while twelve stripes commemorate each year that Mahindra has contested Formula E since its inception.

Technically, the M12Electro builds on Mahindra Racing’s momentum from Season 11, where the team achieved multiple podium finishes in high-profile races like Monaco, Berlin and London — culminating in a fourth-place finish in the overall standings and tripling its points tally. With an unchanged driver pairing of Nyck de Vries and Edoardo Mortara for the third consecutive season, the team emphasises continuity while aiming for a top-three finish in the upcoming campaign.

The significance of the M12Electro extends beyond just racing achievements. For the broader Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd group, this car acts as a technology showcase, leveraging developments around electric powertrains, energy efficiency, high-performance systems and motorsport-derived innovation which can eventually trickle into road-going EVs. In essence, it signals Mahindra’s commitment to electrification, performance and global engineering prowess. With this fresh contender, Mahindra Racing positions itself to not only contend for wins on the track but to reinforce the brand’s leadership in electric mobility and high-tech automotive solutions
