Genesys to provide navigation and ADAS maps to Tata Motors
News, 20 October 2025
India’s Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited (TMPVL) has awarded a six-year contract to Genesys International Corporation Limited to supply standard-definition navigation maps and high-definition ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) maps for its upcoming software-defined vehicle (SDV) platforms in India. Under the agreement, Genesys will deliver two key components: native navigation routing and precise ADAS mapping, with licence fees tied to number of vehicles sold over the contract duration.
The deal underscores Titan’s push towards smarter, data-centric mobility as vehicles become more reliant on digital intelligence. By integrating HD maps for ADAS and SD maps for navigation directly into its SDV framework, Tata Motors is aiming to enhance vehicle safety, situational awareness and driving experience. Genesys, with its geospatial mapping heritage, is poised to become a strong partner in this shift, while Tata’s long-term vehicle roadmap—including connectivity, autonomy and user-experience platforms—stands to benefit from accurate map data. The outcome could accelerate the spread of advanced driver-assistance tech across the Indian market and highlight domestic provider capability.
In short: this long-term collaboration bridges vehicle manufacturers and geospatial tech firms, signalling a milestone in India’s journey towards software-defined, map-enabled mobility.
