Infineon launches major new innovation campus in Bengaluru, India
Press Release, 16 October 2025
Infineon Technologies is making a bold move in India, signing a lease and beginning construction on a new, consolidated innovation campus in Bengaluru’s Bagmane Solarium Tech Park to bring together its existing sites into a single high-tech campus. The new facility, dubbed “SILANE”, will span 630,000 square feet and is projected to accommodate up to 4,500 employees by 2030, almost doubling its current workforce in India.
Scheduled for completion in autumn 2026, the campus will host 170,000 square feet of advanced laboratory space focused on semiconductor and power-system development. Designed with sustainability and modern work culture in mind, SILANE will be LEED Gold and WELL compliant, run entirely on green energy, and integrate amenities such as a gym, daycare center, flexible workspaces, and easy access via metro lines.
Infineon sees India’s growing engineering talent and vibrant tech ecosystem as vital to its global innovation strategy. Today, its India operations span two locations with about 2,500 employees. The new facility will unify these operations, boost collaboration, and anchor Infineon’s R&D ambitions in a major engineering market. Leadership emphasises that the project aligns with their long-term “decarbonization and digitalization” goals.
