TomTom expands deal with Hyundai AutoEver to power live traffic & speed alerts across Europe
TomTom has secured a multi-year agreement with Hyundai AutoEver (HAE), the software arm of Hyundai Motor Group, to deliver its live traffic and speed camera services to in-dash navigation systems across Hyundai, Kia and Genesis vehicles in Europe. Under this deal, HAE will integrate TomTom’s real-time traffic updates and newly provided speed camera alerts into its navigation platform, improving route guidance, estimated arrival times, and driver awareness.
By embedding these services, Hyundai AutoEver aims to enhance safety and convenience for European drivers. The speed camera alerts provide timely warnings to help maintain compliance with local speed limits, while the traffic service delivers dynamic congestion data so vehicles can better avoid delays. Dongkwon Suh, head of HAE’s Navigation Division, said this expanded partnership will further enrich Highway Driving Assist functionality and navigation intelligence for customers. TomTom’s Benoit Joly added that this renewal underscores TomTom’s role as a trusted maps and live service partner to automakers seeking to elevate their connectivity and in-vehicle experience.
The agreement solidifies TomTom’s position as HAE’s core maps and live data provider for the coming years, reinforcing its influence in the automotive navigation ecosystem.
