Geotab has taken a major stride in expanding its global reach by acquiring the commercial operations of Verizon Connect in key markets across Europe and Australia. The deal covers the sales and customer-facing teams in countries including the UK, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Ireland, and Australia—while excluding Verizon’s product development, engineering, and non-sales units.
This strategic move is aimed especially at strengthening Geotab’s presence in the small to mid-sized fleet segment. By bringing in roughly 400 experienced Verizon Connect staff across the acquired regions, Geotab expects to improve local support, drive innovation, and deliver data-driven telematics solutions more effectively. The integration has begun immediately, with Geotab pledging a smooth transition for existing Verizon Connect customers and leveraging its global infrastructure, AI capabilities, and analytics platform to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability for fleets of all sizes.
