Zoomcar to use CARS24 services for quality and safety checks
News, 2 July 2025
Zoomcar and CARS24 are collaborating to improve Zoomcar’s car-sharing platform’s quality and security. Their initial focus in Delhi will involve new host vehicles undergoing pre-delivery inspections and getting vehicle tracking devices installed.
CARS24 experts will conduct in-depth vehicle system checks, with successful cars earning a ‘verified’ tag on Zoomcar’s platform. This initiative seeks to elevate customer satisfaction, reduce mechanical issues, and streamline operations across Zoomcar’s fleet of over 25,000 vehicles.
This partnership addresses the critical need for quality and safety in peer-to-peer car sharing. By incorporating professional inspections and GPS tracking, Zoomcar is building a verification system to boost trust in its marketplace.
The thorough inspection process establishes a quality standard, creating a premium tier of ‘verified’ vehicles that benefit both guests (with quality assurance) and hosts (with potentially higher earnings).
The Delhi pilot program indicates a careful, data-driven approach. If successful, this system could provide a competitive edge in India’s growing self-drive market. Vehicle tracking offers both security through real-time monitoring and promotes safer driving habits.
This initiative reflects a broader trend in marketplaces where reliable verification becomes more important as platforms grow. With 25,000 cars, Zoomcar is shifting focus from pure expansion to quality and efficiency. By utilizing CARS24’s inspection expertise, Zoomcar gains specialized capabilities without having to build its own inspection infrastructure.
Although not a complete overhaul of its business model, this partnership significantly upgrades operations, benefiting user experience and host retention, which are crucial for long-term marketplace sustainability.
