Kazam, Electric mobility startup, Set to raise $6 Million

Kazam, an electric vehicle startup, is expected to raise about $6 million (about INR 51 crore) in a new fundraising round. This investment is led by existing backer Vertex Ventures, with additional contributions from Avaana Capital and Chakra Growth Capital.
According to the company’s MCA filing reviewed by Inc42, Kazam approved issuing Series B compulsory convertible preference shares to facilitate this funding. Vertex Ventures and IFC VVSEA Co-Invest will collectively invest $4.9 million, while Avaana Capital and Chakra Growth Capital will contribute $1.01 million and $0.9 million, respectively.
