IndianOil announces plans for green hydrogen plant
News, 2 June 2025
IndianOil is investing in a 10,000 tonnes per annum green hydrogen plant at its Panipat Refinery & Petrochemical Complex. By December 2027, the facility is expected to be operational, making it the country’s largest green hydrogen production unit.
This program supports the government’s National Green Hydrogen Mission and demonstrates IndianOil’s dedication to green hydrogen. Upon completion, the plant will replace the use of fossil fuel-based hydrogen in the refining process, leading to a considerable reduction in carbon emissions and advancing the company’s broader environmental objectives. This project highlights IndianOil’s leadership in promoting green energy solutions in India.
