Wayve acquires Quality Match to boost safety & data integrity in autonomous driving

Wayve a leading company in embodied-AI for self-driving vehicles has acquired Quality Match, a Germany-based startup specialising in data-quality assurance for computer-vision and AI datasets.

Quality Match, founded in 2019, brings a 20-strong team of data specialists whose core strength lies in analysing and improving datasets used to train AI driving systems. By integrating Quality Match’s expertise, Wayve aims to build high-quality, auditable datasets that can underpin safer, more reliable and explainable autonomous driving models.

The acquisition also strengthens Wayve’s engineering base in Europe — Quality Match’s team will join Wayve’s global operations, and their co-founder becomes Wayve’s Director of Data. With this move, Wayve furthers its mission to deliver robust “AI Driver” software capable of scaling globally, while raising the bar for data integrity in the autonomous mobility sector.
