VicOne & P3 showcase secure AI-driven cockpit vision at CES 2026
Press Release, 6 January 2026
At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, automotive cybersecurity specialist VicOne and in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) expert P3 digital services teamed up to demonstrate how next-generation AI-powered car cockpits can be both intelligent and secure. Their joint showcase, hosted at the P3 booth in the West Hall of the LVCC, put a spotlight on the combination of P3’s SPARQ OS a scalable IVI platform built on Android Automotive OS with VicOne’s xPhinx security layer, designed to protect on-device artificial intelligence from emerging threats such as prompt injection, jailbreak attempts, and data leakage. This collaboration gives automakers a practical blueprint for deploying advanced, voice-driven cockpit experiences while ensuring safety, trust, and compliance in an increasingly connected vehicle environment.
The demonstration highlighted how AI features that interact with drivers and passengers — including large language model (LLM)-based voice assistants and real-time cabin intelligence — must be secured just as rigorously as the functions they support. VicOne’s xPhinx technology works alongside SPARQ OS to actively inspect and sanitize inputs and outputs of in-vehicle AI, intercepting manipulated requests and preventing unsafe behaviors without slowing down performance. According to VicOne, this approach can deliver faster execution and significantly lower memory use compared with traditional AI guardrails. Meanwhile, P3 emphasized that high-performance IVI platforms need to be secure by design if they are to support personalized, responsive user experiences at scale. By combining their strengths, the two companies offered OEMs a way to accelerate the rollout of secure, AI-driven cockpits that are ready for real-world production and regulatory requirements — marking a key moment in the evolution of connected, software-defined vehicles.
