Valeo to showcase advanced in-cabin safety monitoring tech with Seeing Machines at CES 2026
Press Release, 5 January 2026
At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, automotive technology leader Valeo is spotlighting a suite of next-generation in-cabin monitoring applications developed with AI vision specialist Seeing Machines, aimed at boosting safety and comfort inside vehicles. These innovations bring together Valeo’s system-level design expertise and Seeing Machines’ AI-powered interior sensing software to create solutions that track driver attention, analyze occupant behavior and even detect whether a rider on a two-wheeler is wearing a helmet before departure all in real time. The collaboration addresses rising global safety standards and growing industry demand for smarter interior monitoring in cars and other vehicles.
Valeo and Seeing Machines are demonstrating several practical applications of this technology on the CES show floor. One featured demo is the Valeo Panovision head-up display, which uses gaze-tracking to assess if a driver has noticed a detected hazard, then provides adaptive alerts accordingly. Another is the Valeo Safe InSight demo vehicle, which combines multiple interior sensing layers to observe driver and passenger states simultaneously. For two-wheeler safety, the SmartCluster Helmet Detection system identifies when a rider begins a journey without a helmet, helping prevent risky situations before they occur. These capabilities are integrated across multiple system-on-chip platforms, underscoring the adaptability of the joint monitoring solutions for different types of vehicles and use cases.
Valeo Brain Division’s leadership emphasizes that these in-cabin technologies not only enhance safety by continuously interpreting what’s happening inside the vehicle, but also help future-proof vehicles as regulations around driver monitoring become more stringent and as automakers compete on safety innovation. Seeing Machines’ role in supplying advanced Driver and Occupant Monitoring System (DMS/OMS) functions strengthens Valeo’s offerings with proven perception software that can scale to meet real-world automotive demands. Visitors to CES 2026 can see the demonstrations at Valeo’s booth and experience firsthand how these intelligent monitoring tools are helping pave the way for safer, more aware mobility.
