Valeo, a French Tier 1 supplier of ADAS for automotive technology is gearing up for increasing demand of ADAS in India’s passenger car market. Valeo intends to localize ADAS manufacturing in India in response to market demand. According to senior Valeo representative, the company is looking forward to scaling up its business with the growing demand of ADAS.
Globally, Valeo is a leading supplier of ADAS components, such as software, high-performance computing units, and sensors. It has collaborated with a number of automakers, such as Honda; which uses Valeo’s Scala 3D LiDARs. The “Honda Sensing” Level-2 ADAS suite in India, which is compatible with the Honda Elevate, City, and Amaze models, is supplied by Valeo with front cameras.
Valeo is continuously optimizing its ADAS technology for the Indian market. It has more than half of its workforce devoted to ADAS research. It has over 1,700 technical workforce devoted to software, electronics, and cybersecurity.
According to Valeo, the use of centralized computer platforms will lower prices as car architectures change globally, increasing access to cutting-edge features like ADAS in India.
