UAE’s Rabdan One EV steals spotlight at Adipec
Date: October 5, 2023. — The United Arab Emirates unveiled its latest Rabdan One electric vehicle (EV) at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC). The Rabdan One is one of the first electric vehicles made in the UAE. The range-extension technology in the five-seater SUV Rabdan One allows it to go up to 860 kilometers on a single charge. The vehicle is a component of the UAE’s industrial strategy to boost manufacturing’s contribution to the nation’s GDP. It also aims to encourage homegrown innovation.
NWTN, an electric vehicle manufacturer located in the UAE, is making Rabdan One. Last month, they launched Rabdan Muse, at a car show in California.
The vehicle has a suite of connectivity features. This enabled seamless integration with smart devices and enhancing the overall driving experience. The Rabdan One prioritizes safety with advanced driver-assistance systems and autonomous driving capabilities, ensuring a secure and comfortable ride.
The UAE government announced its commitment to further developing the EV ecosystem, including the expansion of charging infrastructure, research into advanced battery technologies, and incentives. They aim to promote electric vehicle adoption among residents and businesses.
The Rabdan One’s cost and availability have not yet been made public. However, prospective consumers can sign up on the website of NWTN. Over a period of five years, the business anticipates selling more than 5,000 vehicles. With this groundbreaking achievement, the UAE is accelerating its journey towards a cleaner and greener automotive landscape while solidifying its position as a pioneer in sustainable technology.
