TomTom and GeoInt strengthen partnership to accelerate fleet telematics across Africa
Press Release, 7 November 2025
TomTom and GeoInt have extended their long-standing collaboration now over two decades so that GeoInt can leverage TomTom’s advanced mapping and traffic APIs to power fleet, telematics and location-based services across Africa. The refreshed partnership enables GeoInt to tap into real-time fleet tracking, dynamic route optimisation, road-risk assessments and driver-behaviour scoring by integrating TomTom’s maps, traffic data and geocoding services.
This move comes at a pivotal time for African mobility and logistics ecosystems, where accurate location data and live road insights are becoming vital. With over 1.8 million connected vehicles in South Africa already using GeoInt services, the enhanced access to TomTom’s global mapping infrastructure adds scale, precision and reliability to GeoInt’s offerings. According to GeoInt’s CEO, “In a connected world, the quality of your location data defines the quality of your service.” Meanwhile, TomTom’s remit—building maps and location-tech for carmakers, businesses and developers—is further strengthened by a partner deeply embedded in the African market.
Together, the two firms aim to transform Africa’s fleet management, logistics and mobility sectors bringing local insight and global technology together to deliver solutions that can scale across diverse conditions and geographies.
