Tata AutoComp Systems has announced its intention to acquire International Automotive Components Group Sweden AB (IAC Sweden), a move aimed at enhancing Tata AutoComp’s footprint in Europe and strengthening its relationships with prominent European OEMs in both passenger and commercial vehicle sectors.
IAC Sweden, which specializes in manufacturing interior systems and components, reported a turnover of around $800 million. This acquisition is pending regulatory approvals in Europe.
IAC Group had approximately 1,400 employees located in Färgelanda, Skara, and Göteborg when it declared bankruptcy in the summer of 2024, attributing the decision to pandemic-related challenges.
