Synopsys Acquires DINI Group
Synopsys has completed its acquisition of DINI Group, an established leader in FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays)-based boards and solutions.
Synopsys is known to be the Silicon to Software partner for companies developing the electronic products and software applications. The rapid growth of software used in automotive, artificial intelligence (AI), 5G, and high-performance computing (HPC) applications creates an enormous hardware/software validation challenge for system-on-chip (SoC) designers.
To address this challenge, SoC designers are deploying FPGA-based prototyping solutions to enable software development to start earlier and accelerate hardware verification and system validation. FPGAs have an array of programmable logic blocks, such as embedded memory, digital-signal-processing (DSP) blocks, and high-speed transceivers. With an FPGA, the automotive system becomes easily scalable with minimum changes to the hardware
DINI Group’s FPGA-based solution further expands Synopsys’s position in physical prototyping and extends FPGA solutions into network applications and high frequency/low latency algorithmic trading.
