Solidion launches PEAK UPS battery system for AI data centers
Press Release, 14 October 2025
Solidion Technology has introduced a next-generation Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system, dubbed the PEAK Series, specifically engineered to support the demanding needs of AI data centers. The system is built around Solidion’s proprietary 5500 battery cell, which employs advanced silicon-carbon anode technology to deliver higher energy density and improved efficiency.
Key advantages of the PEAK Series include a compact footprint that reduces space requirements by up to 30%, simplified battery rack and harness configurations for lower installation complexity, and extended battery life claimed to be up to three times longer than conventional backup systems. These features are aimed at lowering the total cost of ownership while providing robust, reliable backup support for AI workloads.
According to Jaymes Winters, CEO of Solidion, the AI data center segment demands compact, efficient, and sustainable backup solutions—and the PEAK Series is designed to address that gap. Solidion plans to make the system commercially available in Q1 2026, and is already collaborating with select data center partners for early integration and testing.
With over 525 patents in its portfolio, Solidion is positioning itself as a key player in battery innovation across both energy storage and next-generation power systems. This move underscores how infrastructure supporting AI will increasingly demand advanced energy solutions—not just raw compute power but resilient, efficient, and smart power backends.
