Electric vehicle powered by a sodium ion battery was demonstrated on 23rd Feb’23 in China. A five-seat passenger vehicle, called Hua Xianzi (flower fairy), demonstrated use of Na-ion Batteries. Developed by HiNa Battery, a company affiliated with the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The demonstration vehicle had 25 kilowatt hours Na-ion battery, with a drive range of nearly 250 kilometers per charge.
