Shell Malaysia launches Accelerate to Zero for commercial fleets
Date: September 28, 2023. — Shell Malaysia has introduced a new programme called Accelerate to Zero (A2Z) for its business mobility division, Shell Fleet Solutions. The program aims to help fleet owners in Malaysia optimize their operations and reduce their costs. Additionally, it aims to assist them in achieving their sustainability goals by providing integrated solutions for fuel, electric vehicles, telematics, and carbon compensation.
The “Accelerate to Zero” program is designed to support businesses in their transition to a greener and more sustainable fleet. By leveraging advanced technology and data-driven insights, Shell Fleet Solutions aims to help commercial entities reduce their carbon footprint. This enhance operational efficiency, and cut down on overall operating costs.
The A2Z programme consists of four main components:
- Shell Card: A revamped card integrates all the mobility expenses of a fleet, including fuel, telematics, lubricants, and EV charging. This is done through the Shell network.
- Shell Recharge: An EV charging ecosystem that offers hardware, software, and support solutions for corporate fleets to meet their specific EV infrastructure requirements. Customers can also access Shell’s expanding network of charging points.
- Shell Telematics: A solution that combines Shell Card data, live vehicle tracking, and vehicle performance monitoring. Moreover, it provides business intelligence and data analytics. This benefits corporate fleets, helping them improve their efficiency and sustainability.
- Carbon Compensation: A program allows customers to offset their carbon emissions from fuel purchases. Furthermore, customers can achieve this by buying carbon credits generated by Shell projects.
The introduction of “Accelerate to Zero” in Malaysia expects to have a significant impact on the country’s efforts. That is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change. With a growing emphasis on sustainability and environmental responsibility, businesses across various sectors are likely to embrace this program. This program aims to reduce their environmental footprint.
Joanna Lean, the general manager of Shell Fleet Solutions Malaysia, stated that the A2Z programme aims to become the preferred partner for fleet owners in Malaysia as they transition toward decarbonisation and accelerate growth.
