Perseus and SODA.Auto join forces to build Europe’s first AI-powered HMI
Press Release, 29 September 2025
Perseus Motor Corporation, touted as Europe’s first “AI-native” EV brand, has announced a strategic partnership with SODA.Auto to co-create what they say will be the most advanced AI-powered Human-Machine Interface (HMI) in a car. The goal is to go beyond the typical electric-vehicle experience by delivering a vehicle that doesn’t just assist, but learns about its driver—adapting to their driving habits, routines, emotional states, and preferences to reduce mental load and enhance safety.
Under the collaboration, Perseus will handle design, product definition, and AI integration from the ground up, ensuring AI is a core layer of the vehicle architecture rather than an add-on. SODA.Auto brings strength in software-defined vehicles (SDV), digital twins, and rapid development tools to the table. Together they will operate joint R&D centres located in Masdar City (Abu Dhabi) and Bicester (UK) that combine physical testing, digital simulation, and world-class AI engineering teams.
Perseus envisions a car that forms a symbiotic relationship with its user—it senses mood, understands routine, and adjusts its responses accordingly. With this focus on personalized interaction, the company aims to set a new standard for what people expect from intelligent mobility. The project reflects a shift in the automotive industry: not just toward electrification or autonomy, but toward deeply interactive AI-led experiences.
