In a bold move to reshape the in-vehicle experience, PATEO and SenseTime have announced a deep strategic partnership aimed at embedding large AI models into next-generation car cockpits. The alliance introduces a new cockpit-focused intelligence engine called Qinggan, which will unify entertainment, connectivity, navigation, safety, and personalized services under one AI umbrella—turning cars into truly smart living spaces.
Under the deal, PATEO and SenseTime plan to build a full stack solution from on-device AI to cloud services. Based on SenseTime’s SenseNova model technology and open model architectures, they will jointly design and customize Qinggan for vehicle cockpits, enabling real-time interaction, active safety assistance, context-aware user experiences, and scenario-based services. Their roadmap even extends to humanoid robotics, where SenseTime’s visual perception expertise and PATEO’s hardware integration strength will be applied to develop robots capable of cockpit servicing and maintenance.
To deliver seamless performance, the partners will deploy high-performance AI servers and construct mechanisms for “device-side large models” that maintain millisecond latency. They also plan to fuse cockpit and driving integration—melding driving decisions with user experience—and build V2X (vehicle-to-everything) intelligence for vehicle-road coordination. The broader ambition: to elevate China’s intelligent connected vehicle industry into a new, AI-driven chapter that stretches far beyond just instrumentation or touchscreens.
