Ola Electric has earned a major boost in India’s electric mobility journey by securing Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) certification for its entire Generation-3 (Gen-3) electric scooter range—a milestone confirmed by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) under the Ministry of Heavy Industries. This comes alongside earlier PLI approval for its Gen-2 scooters, cementing compliance across its core product lineup.
The certification, which spans all seven Gen-3 variants—including the S1 Pro series and S1 X line—makes Ola eligible for incentives between 13% to 18% of the determined sales value (DSV) through 2028, per a recent stock exchange filing.
Ola aims to turn EBITDA positive in Q2 FY 2026, and the PLI benefits are expected to strengthen its cost structure and margins.
