Morgenrot joins AECC to power high-performance computing for connected vehicles
Press Release, 30 October 2025
Japanese software specialist Morgenrot Inc. has officially become a member of the Automotive Edge Computing Consortium (AECC), aligning its high-performance computing (HPC) expertise with the automotive industry’s push towards richer vehicle connectivity and data-driven services. As part of AECC—an industry-wide non-profit forum dedicated to defining the infrastructure for vehicle, network and cloud collaboration—Morgenrot will join efforts to optimise computing resources across vehicles, edge nodes and the cloud.
Morgenrot’s role will be to contribute its core strengths in visualising, managing and sharing computing power, thereby helping shape the foundation needed for next-generation connected mobility. By joining AECC, the company says it intends to support a “sharing economy” model for compute resources, allowing vehicles and infrastructure to tap into the right amount of processing power whenever required. For the automotive world, this means smarter vehicles capable of handling large volumes of data—from sensors, mapping, broadcasts and more—while meeting the real-time demands of mobility services, autonomous driving and edge analytics.
For automakers and mobility suppliers, the collaboration could accelerate development of distributed computing architectures that are scalable, efficient and easier to maintain over time. With Morgenrot’s skills added to AECC’s ecosystem, the aim is to reduce bottlenecks around data transmission and processing between cars, roadside systems and the cloud—an essential step if tomorrow’s vehicles are going to be mobile data-hubs rather than just transport machines.
