Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), one of India’s automotive manufacturers, has announced its decision to expand its research and development (R&D) operations by establishing a new facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
The newly established R&D center in Coimbatore will focus on various aspects of automotive research, including advanced technologies, product development, and engineering. The facility will serve as a key hub for M&M’s R&D activities, supporting the company’s long-term growth and vision.
The expansion of M&M’s R&D operations in Coimbatore is expected to create numerous employment opportunities for skilled engineers, researchers, and automotive professionals in the region. Additionally, the move will further contribute to the growth of the local economy and reinforce Coimbatore’s position as a prominent center for automotive research and development.
In Coimbatore, M&M will establish its software-defined vehicle research and development center. With the new facility in place, M&M aims to accelerate its innovation efforts and drive the development of sustainable, connected, and electric mobility solutions. People in the know stated the business has already started hiring for a variety of positions at the Coimbatore SVB Tech Park center, which is anticipated to open soon.
