Date: October 20, 2023. — Mercedes-Benz has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the authorities of Shanghai’s Jinqiao district. A local company to enhance cooperation in the field of intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs).
The Memorandum of Understanding, aims to establish a relationship in autonomous driving and smart networking in Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone Jinqiao District.
Under the terms of the agreement, Mercedes-Benz and its partners will put resources in the research and development of intelligent and integrated connectivity solutions for autonomous vehicles.
The Mercedes-Benz Shanghai R&D Center which launched its business in 2022 is working on new E-Class vehicle with third-generation MBUX intelligent human-machine interaction system, which offers sophisticated voice interaction, navigation features and navigation-assisted driving system (L2+).
