Mechlae, a startup based in Bangalore, has launched affordable on-site Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) solution for last-mile light electric vehicles. It aims to provide service in sectors like E-commerce, agriculture, food, and transport.
Mechlae’s unique selling proposition (USP) lies in its ability to provide affordable EV swap battery networks. The company introduced a novel solution called SAP (Swap-at-your-Premises). This solution allows on-site swapping of EV batteries, thus reducing costs and time for B2C startups. Mechlae is creating a robust battery swap infrastructure that ensures uninterrupted EV operations at low cost. The company’s subscription model helps to reduce operational costs by up to ₹0.8 per km.
Mechlae’s claims to have proprietary docking system which adheres to safety standards, guaranteeing safe and efficient battery swaps. It produces mini swap stations and battery packs in-house.
Mechgreen Tech Mobility Solutions Pvt Ltd was incorporated in May 2022.
