Maruti Suzuki launches India’s EV Charging ecosystem with ‘e for me’ platform
Press Release, 3 December 2025
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has taken a major step in its electric mobility journey by partnering with 13 Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and aggregators to build a robust EV charging network. The company has already established over 2,000 exclusive charging points across its sales and service network spanning more than 1,100 cities, and aims to expand this to over 1 lakh charging points by 2030 in collaboration with dealers and CPO partners.
The initiative includes the launch of the ‘e for me’ app, a single platform for locating, using, and paying at both public and home EV charging points. Customers can pay via UPI or Maruti Suzuki Money and even mirror the app on the car’s infotainment system for a seamless in-car experience. The app also allows remote management of home chargers and “Tap N Charge” functionality at dealer outlets.
Maruti Suzuki has prepared its infrastructure to support nationwide EV adoption: 1.5 lakh trained EV personnel, 1,500+ EV-ready service workshops, and a network of DC fast chargers along key highways ensuring coverage every 5–10 km in top 100 cities. To demonstrate the readiness of this network, the company has launched a pan-India ‘e drive’ with four e VITARA Born EVs traveling from Srinagar to Kanyakumari, Dibrugarh, and Bhuj, proving real-world feasibility of nationwide EV charging and ownership.
The e VITARA Born EV, a Made-in-India vehicle tested over 1 crore km in extreme conditions from -30°C to 60°C, offers a range of 543 km and embodies Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to reliable, customer-centric electric mobility. With this comprehensive EV ecosystem, the company aims to boost consumer confidence and accelerate EV adoption in India, supporting national sustainability goals and delivering a globally benchmarked EV ownership experience.
