LG to unveil smart AI-powered car technology at CES 2026
Press Release, 18 December 2025
LG Electronics is gearing up to make a big splash at CES 2026 in Las Vegas with a new lineup of artificial intelligence-driven in-vehicle systems designed to transform the way people interact with their cars. At the heart of its exhibit is a showcase of “Affectionate Intelligence” smart technology that anticipates and responds to passengers’ needs to create a more intuitive, human-centered cabin experience. The company says the setup will let visitors explore how AI can improve everything from safety awareness to personalized entertainment while on the move.
LG’s AI-powered solutions recently won a CES 2026 Best of Innovation Award in the In-Vehicle Entertainment category, marking the first time its Vehicle Solution division has earned that recognition. The award highlights three core innovations on display:
• Mobility Display Solution: Turns the windshield into a dynamic, interactive interface that can provide relevant travel information.
• Automotive Vision Solution: Uses advanced Vision AI to boost safety and give context-aware insights to both drivers and passengers.
• In-Vehicle Entertainment Solution: Offers personalized content suggestions, memory-based media and real-time language translation features to keep passengers engaged.
All of these elements are built on LG’s broader AI-Defined Vehicle architecture, which integrates next-generation displays, sensing technologies and real-time on-device AI processing. By embedding these intelligent features directly into the vehicle, LG aims to make rides not just safer and more comfortable, but also more personalized and responsive. Company executives say this represents a leap forward from traditional software-defined vehicles toward an era where AI plays an active role in managing both vehicle functionality and user experience.
Attendees at CES 2026 (January 6-9) will be able to experience these innovations firsthand at LG’s booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center. This showcase reflects the industry’s broader push toward smarter, more capable vehicle cabins powered by artificial intelligence.
