LG and Mercedes-Benz deepen strategic automotive tech alliance

Press Release, 14 November 2025

LG Group and Mercedes‑Benz Group AG are advancing their collaboration in vehicle electronics and future mobility solutions, in a bid to stay ahead in the electrified, software-defined vehicle era. The CEOs of the four LG affiliates — LG Electronics, LG Display, LG Energy Solution and LG Innotek — met with Mercedes-Benz’s Chairman and CEO Ola Källenius in Seoul to map out deeper integration across EV components, display & sensor technologies, and global production networks.

In the meeting held at LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul, key discussion areas included next-gen vehicle batteries, flexible OLED displays, and advanced sensor modules (LiDAR, radar, cameras) for autonomous driving. LG Display already supplies P-OLED panels to Mercedes-Benz’s infotainment systems, while LG Energy Solution has a multi-trillion-won battery supply agreement in place. The alliance reflects a strategic push by Mercedes-Benz to secure reliable, high-end supply chains and software-defined components, and by LG to position its “One LG Solution” model as a one-stop ecosystem partner for premium automakers.
