KPIT Technologies has opened a new office in Lindholmen Science Park which will serve European OEMs and customers throughout the Nordic region, while benefitting from Gothenburg’s vibrant talent and innovation ecosystem.
The company acts as a partner in the development, validation and integration of software and systems for everything from electrification, digital cockpit, autonomous driving and bringing technology across entire vehicle architecture.
Wants to recruit local talent
“Sweden is a powerhouse of sustainable mobility innovation – with Gothenburg at its epicentre. Our presence here allows us to be physically closer to leading Swedish and European OEMs, enabling faster collaboration and deeper integration of our software capabilities,” says Sachin Tikekar, President & Joint MD, KPIT Technologies.
The newly inaugurated technology centre at Lindholmen plans to scale presence in Sweden significantly within a year, aiming at 100 employees with a majority being recruited locally. In the long term, they hope to be able to make a Swedish growth journey like the one the company has made in Germany. KPIT Technologies employs a couple of thousand people in Europe today.
“We are excited to work with local talent, harness Sweden’s focus on technology and green transition, and co-develop solutions for challenges of mobility OEMs globally,” says Sachin Tikekar.
Strategically heavy supplier
The company has long-term partnerships with over twenty major vehicle manufacturers, including BMW, Renault and Honda, and is often deeply involved in developing new functionality.
