India: Volkswagen launches connected vehicle assistant My Volkswagen Connect

VW India is offering the new connectivity solution as a standard fitment in the recently-launched Polo GT TSI and Vento Highline Plus. Christened My Volkswagen Connect, the solution promises to transform a regular driving experience into a connected one seamlessly.

My Volkswagen Connect included:

• Asimple user interface, that can be accessed by plugging the dongle to the car’s on-board diagnostics (OBD) port. The solution can receive ‘over the air’ (OTA) software updates. 
• The mobile app for this solution is available for both Android and iOS devices and can be downloaded following an OTP-verification on the registered mobile number. 
• Once set up, the My Volkswagen Connect app instantly helps car owners connect with their vehicle. The app analyses the driver’s driving style, including speed, braking behavior, coolant temperature, acceleration, and RPM. 
• The app also helps users find point of interest and contact customer care or Road Side Assistance, in case of an emergency. 
• That’s not all — the app can also be used to scan, upload, and store critical vehicular documents or related official documents for a paperless and convenient experience. 
• The app can also send reminders for renewal of vehicle insurance.
