iMotion Automotive Technology (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of iMotion Technology, has entered into two joint venture agreements with Delloyd Technology Berhad, a Malaysian automotive component manufacturer. The partnership, announced on iMotion’s WeChat, will establish two distinct entities in Malaysia focusing on ADAS production and sales, respectively. This collaboration aims to create a localized operational framework in Southeast Asia, broaden iMotion’s international presence, and bolster its global strategy through a partnership with a key regional player.
The manufacturing-focused joint venture plans to develop an advanced electronics production facility in Klang, Selangor, incorporating state-of-the-art SMT and assembly/testing lines for PCBA production. The facility will produce iMotion’s ADAS solutions and offer contract manufacturing services.
iMotion plans to provide the Malaysian joint venture with its high-performance ADAS design and manufacturing skills. This transfer aims to elevate the joint venture’s production technology and quality control standards, enhancing its competitive edge in the Malaysian market, where the auto parts industry has traditionally concentrated on more basic components.
The sales-oriented joint venture will act as the exclusive distributor for the manufacturing entity’s products, utilizing Delloyd’s established sales network, which includes over four decades of partnerships with local and international OEMs, to facilitate market penetration throughout Malaysia and the broader ASEAN region.
