IIT Kanpur and Zynetic Electric Vehicles Charging Sign MoU to Advance EV Charging Technology

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur
(IITK), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zynetic Electric Vehicles Charging Private Limited, a key player in the development, operation, and management of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. This collaboration is set to drive forward the innovation and deployment of advanced AC and DC fast chargers for electric vehicles, marking a significant step towards the growth of EV infrastructure in India.
Zynetic is at the forefront of creating sustainable, high-performance charging solutions for the EV ecosystem. Specializing in state-of-the-art EV charging technologies, Zynetic is committed to supporting India’s transition to a cleaner and more sustainable future through its pioneering work in EV infrastructure. With this MoU, IIT Kanpur and Zynetic will combine their strengths in research, academic exchange, and consultancy to tackle pressing challenges in EV charging technology. Their efforts will focus on critical areas such as power electronics, embedded systems, and the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning for predictive maintenance. By leveraging IIT Kanpur’s advanced research capabilities and Zynetic’s industry expertise, this collaboration aims to develop next-generation EV chargers that meet the demands of India’s rapidly growing electric vehicle market with unmatched reliability and efficiency.

The government’s ambitious goal of achieving 30% of new private vehicle registrations being EVs by 2030 will require a massive charging ecosystem to cater to 8 crore EVs.
