Hyundai to lead global hydrogen push at Global CEO Summit in Seoul

Press Release, 2 December 2025

Hyundai Motor Group is spotlighting its hydrogen ambitions by co-hosting the Hydrogen Council Global CEO Summit in Seoul from December 2–4, 2025. The gathering is expected to draw around 200 CEOs and execs from nearly 100 hydrogen companies worldwide. As a bold statement of commitment, the summit will be the first large-scale business event to use exclusively hydrogen-powered transport — including 50 Hyundai NEXO fuel-cell SUVs and six Hyundai UNIVERSE fuel-cell buses.

Beyond merely hosting the summit, Hyundai plans to turn it into a live showcase of hydrogen mobility and infrastructure. Delegates will get to experience hydrogen-powered vehicles firsthand through Ride & Drive sessions and explore key hydrogen facilities — including a refuelling station at Korea’s national assembly. The summit will also feature high-level discussions on accelerating hydrogen adoption globally, covering demand growth, regulatory framework, infrastructure build-out, and standardization. As Co-Chair of the Hydrogen Council, Hyundai is further pushing the narrative that hydrogen isn’t just a future energy concept, but a present-ready solution for decarbonization and sustainable mobility.
